Our services
What services does The Heritage Solution Network offer?
We offer three services for adults with developmental disabilities: Independent Living Services (service code 520), Coordinated Family Supports (service code 076), and Homemaker Services (service code 860). Each one is provided one-to-one.
What is the difference between Independent Living Services and Homemaker Services?
Independent Living Services teach skills, so you can do more for yourself, like cooking, budgeting, banking, and using public transit. Homemaker Services provide help with routine household tasks, like cleaning, laundry, and dishes. The HSN offers both.
What are Coordinated Family Supports?
Coordinated Family Supports are for adults with developmental disabilities who live in their family home. A coordinator works one-to-one with the family to find community, educational, and healthcare resources, build routines that reduce caregiver stress, and plan ahead. Read our plain-language guide to CFS.
Do I need to come to an office or a center?
No. Our services come to you. Independent Living coaching happens at home and in the community, not at a center. Coordinated Family Supports take place in the family home and community, and Homemaker Services take place in your home or family home.
Who qualifies
Who can receive services from The HSN?
Our services are for adults 18 and older with developmental disabilities who are served by a California Regional Center. Each service is authorized by the Regional Center through the person’s Individual Program Plan (IPP). Coordinated Family Supports are for adults who live in the family home.
Do I need to be a Regional Center client?
Yes. These are Regional Center services, so they are planned and authorized through your IPP with your Regional Center service coordinator. If you don’t know your Regional Center yet, you can look it up on the California Department of Developmental Services website.
Cost
How much do services cost?
Services that the Regional Center authorizes and funds are provided at no cost to the individual. If you have questions about your own situation, ask your Regional Center service coordinator.
Getting started
How do I get started?
Start with your Regional Center service coordinator. Ask about the service you want, at your IPP meeting or before it. If you’d like to work with The HSN, tell your service coordinator, who can send us a referral. You’re also welcome to contact us with questions first.
How can a service coordinator send a referral?
Service coordinators can send a referral online, call (661) 688-6628, or email info@thehsn.net.
Can my family be involved?
Yes, if you want them to be. Family members are welcome at the first conversation and can help think through goals. Every plan is built around the individual’s own choices and their IPP.
